Longs Peak at 14,259 ft (4,346 m) is one of the 53 mountains with summits over 14,000 feet in Colorado. It can be prominently seen from the Colorado Front Range and is located in Rocky Mountain National Park. The hike from the trailhead to the summit is 8.4 miles (13.5 km) each way, with a total elevation gain of 4,875 ft (1,486 m). Longs Peak is one of the deadliest peaks in Colorado having claimed more than 60 lives since recording began in 1915. This view of Long's Peak is from the Forest Canyon Overlook. #AwakeningLight
