Entrance to the harbour of the city of Como on the western branch of Lake Como, at the foot of the Alps in northern Italy. This small peninsula is the site of Villa Geno, built in 1790 and then rebuilt in 1850 in new neoclassical lines, and the famous Fountain of Avenue Geno.
